Community Housing Impact & Preservation Program (CHIP)
The Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) provides grants to eligible communities interested in undertaking housing-related activities, including necessary infrastructure improvements. The grants are awarded competitively and encourage a flexible, community-wide approach to the improvement and provision of affordable housing for low- and moderate-income persons, and help develop local administrative capacity.
All participants must meet the eligibility requirements, and be within the income guidelines for the program.
On September 1, 2018, the City of Medina, in partnership with the City of Brunswick, was awarded $647,700 for housing related activities to be conducted in 2019 and 2020.
